Just because I’m sick at home doesn’t mean I can’t still worship with my church family. Proud of my wife @stephbarker123 an her leadership!
Checklist for the Barker Design Studio: laptop with indie background, coffee mug promoting church, wired mouse with freedom mouse pad. #freedomisntfree #frontrange (at Barker Design Studio)
Set list at @frontrange_cc this morning. Nothing better than playing hymns with a banjo, mandolin, djembe, and an upright bass! (at Front Range Christian Church)
Excited to start our new series walking through the Beatitudes this weekend. I LOVE picking songs for messages based on the sermon on the mount!
Our church has launched! Check out this video from our first service…
@frontrange_cc has been so blessed by Southeast Christian as we prepare to launch. Honored to be leading alongside their worship team this weekend!

It’s been WAY too long since my last post. It was 2013 last time I did…that’s terrible. BUT, no use dwelling on the past right? Here are some updates on Front Range and the Barkers:
FRONT RANGE UPDATE
Last Sunday (January 19th) we had our second and final preview service. This one was designed to test our systems. Such as, setup & tear down, children’s check in, traffic flow, audio/video stuff, people flow and so on. One of my favorite characteristics of God is that no matter what you plan, He’s gonna do what He wants to do. Not only did we not do any extra promotion for this service, but it happened to fall on the weekend the Broncos we’re playing the early (1pm MT) game. AND STILL, hundreds of people came, and people made decisions to know Jesus as they’re Savior. Nothing better than that. We are now looking forward to our official church launch on February 9th where we will finally start weekly Sunday services. Please pray for our launch team as we head into the homestretch of preparation! (check out our website at frontrange.org)
A VERY BARKER UPDATE
We are currently living with Steph’s parents in Monument (20 miles south of Castle Rock) and it has been such blessing. Not only was it great to spend the holidays with family at home, but its been very life-giving for all of us to get to deepen our relationships. Also, it never hurts to be able to save money on rent…
Steph is currently on the hunt for a job and once she does we’ll start seriously looking for homes up in Castle Rock. We can’t wait to move to our new community and begin ministering not only to our congregation but also our future neighbors.
If you would, we would love prayer for these things:
1. Steph’s future job
2. Our future home
3. Our church launch February 9th
4. That we would continue to seek God and grow in our dependance upon Him.
Thanks so much for all of the support and love that we’ve received from you! We feel so humbled by the overwhelming gifts and are excited to continue to be the light in a dark place.
Love you all.
